FILING REQUIREMENT
Trademark Applications:
1. A Power of Attorney from the applicant, duly legalized up to the USE Consul.
2. 20 prints of the mark.
3. In case of claiming priority, a certified copy of a corresponding home or foreign application or registration of the trademark, legalized up to UAE Consulate.

Patents Applications:
A complete Specification of the invention in English and Arabic is the minimum filing requirements to secure a filing number and a filing date with respect to a patent application in UAE. The following required documents can be filed within 90 days from the date of filing the application:
1. A Power of Attorney from the applicant, duly legalized up to UAE Consulate.
2. An assignment from the inventor(s), also legalized up to UAE Consul, or a copy of the original assignment as filed with the basic foreign application, provided that it is legalized up to UAE Consul.
3. An Extract from the Commercial Register or from the Articles of Incorporation or Association if the applicant is a corporate body, legalized up to UAE Consul.
4. In case of claiming of priority, a certified copy of the priority documents, legalized up to UAE Consul.
For PCT Applications copies of International Application (for PCT national phase), a copy of International Search Report and copy of Preliminary Examination Report.

Design Applications:
The requirements for registering a certain design in UAE are:
1. Particulars of the applicant, namely; name, nationality and address.
2. Name and address of the creator of the design.
3. Two copies of each side of the design and products for which the design is used.
The following documents may be filed within 90 days from the date of filing the design application:
1. A Power of Attorney from the applicant, duly legalized up to UAE Consul.
2. An assignment from the creator of the design to the applicant, also legalized up to UAE Consul.
3. An Extract from the Commercial Register of the applicant or from the Articles of Incorporation or Association, duly legalized up to U.A.E. Consul.
4. Certified copy of the basic foreign application. (if any).

Copyright Applications:
1. Power of Attorney, legalized up to UAE Consulate.
2. Four (4) original copies of the work.
3. Name, address and nationality of author.
4. Name, address and nationality of applicant.
5. Title and description of the work.
6. Date of first publication of work in UAE.
