A patent is valid for 20 years counted as from the date of complete application. Patents of Addition are granted for the unexpired period of the main patent. Patents of Importation are granted for the unexpired period of the basic foreign patient.

Payable upon grant. All the unpaid annuities are collected from the applicant with a retroactive effect upon the grant of the patent. |
