Law No. 4 of 1962 relating to Patents, Designs and Industrial Models.
The provisions of Law No. 4 of 1962 and its 1999 amendments allows for the registration of patents and industrial models. Although, the law had been issued and published, it is still awaiting ratification from the Kuwaiti Parliament and the issuance of the Implementing Regulations

Kuwait is party to the Gulf Cooperation Council Patent Office which provides patent protections within the member countries.
