A new Design Law was issued by Royal Decree No. 39/200 dated May 21, 2000 and came into effect on June 3, 2000. However, the Implementing Regulations have not yet been issued. Until its issuance, the commonly use procedure in protecting a design is by publishing a cautionary notice in a local newspaper.
