Qatar is party to the Gulf Cooperation Council Patent Office which provides effective patent protections within the member countries.
* Decree No. 30/2006 promulgated a new Patent Law. But the Law will only be effective once the Implementing Regulations is drafted and issued by the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
